If you do not have recipricol links, nobody will ever find your site, EVER. That is unless you submit it manually to the search engines. If you have read my previous article then you will know that your best bet is to submit now, rank later.

I run a typical, start a home business or business opportunity website, its nothing fancy, and it is not anything near search engine placement right now. I could be running a website about cats, or dogs, and one thing will always stay the same. You need links and content in order to reach the top of the search engines.

However, the view on recipricol linking is constantly changing. Google and Yahoo bots are getting smarter, and webmasters that used to slap up loads of bi-directional links are feeling it. The key is a good number of links in and out, but not enough for the search engines to look at your site, and laugh at the mere cluttered, ugly, dirty page that lie before them.

In order to achieve a good rating from the search engines, you will want to link to really good websites with no tainted pages with the search engines. Find yourself a couple of good links, anything under 40 should do (not the same keyword) and maybe make a section for your site, that reads "Business Resources", or "Business links you might like".

Now, the key is to try to get some of these same sites to link back to you. You do not have to have all of the websites that you have links to, sending links back to you, but a few would be fine. The best way to do this is to just contact the more important sites, and just ask for a link back to you, explain that their site is really suited to yours, so you have placed a link on your site to their site. There is no harm in asking.

If you cannot get many links from these sites, You can always get one way links back to your site. One of the best ways to do this is to write articles, or post your comments in forums with a link back to your site. Once you have built up enough links, or even just a few, you can start creating real content for your website.
